The JEE results are out. It has been established beyond a doubt, this year's JEE was much tougher. A score of 227/401 (Mine) got me a rank of AIR 2631 (GEN). This translates to roughly 272/480, which would have got a rank of around 4000. So much for the people who said the paper was easier!

Its a mistake. Short and Sweet. Those who take a drop are under the misguided notion that IIT is the only way to success. THIS IS UNTRUE. BITS-Pilani as well as NITs such as Surathkal, Trichy, Warangal etc. are all doing well. Not as well as any IIT, of course, but still rather well. Use your AIEEE or BITSAT score instead of risking a year for IIT.

This is my first article written on my own. I am doing my 12th in brilliant tutorials.I havent studied anything in 11th due to lack of planning, concentration etc. But i am serious now.I have made a plan basing on last year papers analysis on how to study for JEE in 6 months those who haven’t started their prep till now (I did this for myself and thought of sharing it). This is yet another inspiring story which is able to prove that if you have guts and wits then nothing is impossible for you….A guy named Rohit failed his 12th CBSE board exam in 2008.He dropped a year and sat again for IIT JEE and boards unlike others who would only prepare for boards if they fail.He always used to get shouting’s from his parents for letting them down and not studying. He used to study 10 hours a day for JEE and 2 hours for boards.He never bogged down. The JEE 2012 has turned out to be tougher than what most people expected. Most people were expecting it to be easier than 2011, but most agree it was tougher and quite a few even say it was of same level as 2010. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Counseling Tips Should I be selecting an IIT or a Program. Depends mostly on whether your inner voice has an opinion on this. If you are passionate about a particular career (because, for example, your role model in family or neighbourhood is in that career), then give the program a higher preference over an IIT.
