It is mandatory to register for the exam at least sometime before the date. Like for General test, one needs to register well ahead for the choice of dates for the test. Similarly for the subject test, one needs to register in advance of at least six weeks. Candidates can register online or through mail. The registration bulletin can be obtained online or by mailing to GRE, CN 6000, Princeton, NJ 08541-6000.

Before applying

•    To score exceptionally well, it is important to prepare yourself much before you register yourself.

•    Keep a tab on various analysis books and plan studies systematically to brush your skills of vocabulary, analogies, reading comprehension, geometry and algebra.

•    November is considered best for General Test so as to get your scores well on time to meet the deadline during the admissions. In case you do not score well in the first trial, you have sufficient time to re-take test in December.
