IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an entrance for non-native aspirants for studying in countries where the medium of instruction is English. The allied scores are accepted across universities in Australia, UK, New Zealand and Canada. IELTS is a mandatory test for studying in Australia as TOEFL is not accepted in this English speaking country.
