IIM Bangalore - PG in Public Policy & Management

The Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) was flagged off from the Centre for Public Policy (CPP), a joint initiative of IIMB, UNDP and DoPT, GoI. Its main aim is to develop an alternate think tank through excellence in research and scholarship, and education and training.

The PGPPM at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) aims at strengthening the public policy and managerial skills of future leaders and senior managers from the civil services; and of the professionals from social, infrastructure and private sectors.

Eligibility Criteria
Open and Overseas Candidates

* Age below 40 years as on June 1, 2012
* Graduate in any discipline
* Should have valid scores from GMAT/GRE obtained between April 1, 2010 to January 1, 2012 or CAT 2011
* Ideal candidates should have full time work experience of five to seven years.

Government Sponsored Candidates

All India Services and Central Services Group A Officers are eligible subject to the following conditions:

* Age below 50 years (53 in case of SC/ST) as on June 1, 2012
* Graduate in any discipline
* Minimum of seven years experience
* Should not have undertaken any training either in India or abroad within the last 2 years

Selection Process
Selection of open and overseas candidates is based on a two stage process. Candidates will be first selected to be called for interview based on the following criteria:

* Academic Background
* CAT 2011 / GMAT / GRE scores
* Work Experience
* Achievements (Academic and Career related)

At the second stage, selected candidates will be interviewed in Delhi or Bangalore. They will be required to do a case analysis on the day of the interview. For open candidates residing abroad and overseas candidates, the interviews can be arranged through video conference/Skype mode at a mutually convenient date and time.

Open and overseas candidates should fill in the online application form available at www.iimb.ernet.in and submit online along with the application fee.
Government Sponsored Candidates
Officers from All India and Central Services are required to forward the duly filled-in application available at the IIMB website www.iimb.ernet.in, through the concerned departments to the Under Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Government of India. An advance copy of the application should be sent to The Administrative Officer (PGPPM), Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Please visit IIMB website and DoPT website for further details.

* The last date for receipt of applications: January 31, 2012
* Interviews at Delhi: February 21-23, 2012
* Interviews at Bangalore: February 28-29, 2012
