A three-day cultural extravaganza 'Mridang' will begin at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore from February 10.

Various fashion show and rock band contests will take place. Aiming to make the event special, the organizers have arranged for a performance by 'Pentagram' featuring Vishal Dadlani of Vishal Shekhar music industry fame.

"We aim to nurture local and national talents. This time students will design a 10X10 square meter pencil mosaic which would feature in the Guinness Book of World records, coordinator of the programme Keertiraj A said. The event is expecting footfall of around 10,000, he added.

Mridang will host several programme including Laavanya-fashion show, Lasya-choreo event, Jashn-popular bands, plays and stand-up comedy, Dhwani-solo singing competition, Cult Icon-the search for the most talented personality, Sutra-quizzing event, Akriti-fine art events, Arena-LAN gaming event, Anvesh-treasure hunt and Hurdang.
